What is the Special Integrated Logistics Zone (SILZ)?
SILZ is the customs-privileged logistics zone beside Riyadh's King Khalid airport, launched 2022. Licensed operators store, process, re-label and re-export goods with duties suspended, plus long-term tax incentives. It formalizes the regional-hub model: pay Saudi duty only on what actually enters the Saudi market.
For ordinary importers, bonded warehouses deliver similar cash-flow benefits without zone licensing.
