Which products need halal certification for Saudi Arabia?
Meat and poultry always — from slaughterhouses approved by the Saudi Halal Center, with per-shipment slaughter certificates. Processed foods containing animal-derived ingredients (gelatine, enzymes, animal fats) usually need halal evidence too. Purely plant-based products generally do not.
Only certificates from bodies accredited by the Saudi Halal Center are accepted — verifying current recognition is step zero.
