FCL or LCL — which is better for shipping to Saudi Arabia?
The break-even sits at 12–15 CBM. Below it, LCL (shared container, $25–60 per CBM from Asia) is cheaper; above it, a dedicated 20ft container wins on price and clears customs faster because your goods do not wait on other shippers' paperwork. Fragile or high-value cargo justifies FCL even half-empty.
LCL adds consolidation time at both ends. FCL gives a flat price per box and full control of loading.
